International Nurses Day

 Introduction:

                                     Today we celebrate international nurses day around the globe.This is the day the pillar of modern nursing "Florence Nightingale" was born. She was an English nurse, social reformer, and statistician. The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has celebrated this day since 1965.In January 1974, 12 May was chosen to celebrate the day as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. That is why this day is also called as ICN.

Why ICN ?

  Today 12thmay is the day when we express our gratitude to the nurses all around the world. Although our gratitude is nothing compared to the selfless service they provide us. They consciously risk their lives for the wellbing of others (especially in today's pandemic times) which is undoutably worshipworthy.
